Bulk Background Remover
Remove backgrounds from multiple images at once
Remove backgrounds from multiple images at once
Remove backgrounds from multiple images in three simple steps.

Select several images from your device or drag and drop them into the upload area. You can add up to 20 images per batch on desktop or up to 5 on mobile, in PNG, JPG, WebP, or HEIC/HEIF format.

The background remover processes your images one at a time in your browser, using the processing capabilities available on your device. You can follow the progress of your batch and check which images are complete, still processing, or need another attempt. Images are not uploaded to our server for background removal.

Preview each completed cutout against a transparency checkerboard. Download individual transparent PNGs or use Download All as ZIP to save your completed images together.
remove.bg's standalone website is scheduled to close on December 1, 2026, with its background removal functionality moving to Canva. This browser-based bulk background remover offers a local, no-upload workflow for processing multiple images.
Upload multiple images at once instead of repeating the same steps for each photo. Follow the progress of every image and retry individual failures without restarting the entire batch. Desktop batches support up to 20 images; mobile batches support up to 5.
Background removal runs locally in your browser instead of sending your images to a server for processing. Your source images and generated results stay in browser memory during the session. No upload, no signup, and no watermarks.
Get a separate PNG with an alpha channel for every completed image. Keep the background transparent so you can place your cutouts into product listings, presentations, and design projects.
Download individual results when you need just one image, or package all completed images into a single ZIP file. Original filenames are retained where possible, with duplicate names handled automatically.

Remove backgrounds from multiple photos, illustrations, logos, and other supported images to prepare assets for posters, flyers, presentations, and your preferred design tool.
Prepare multiple cutouts for advertisements, social posts, presentations, campaign graphics, profile pictures, thumbnails, or sticker packs. Download the results together and organize them in your existing workflow.

1. Can I remove backgrounds from multiple images at once?
Yes. Upload multiple images in one batch, and the tool will remove each background in your browser. You can track individual progress, retry failed images, and download completed results separately or together as a ZIP file.
2. Is this bulk background remover free?
Yes. This bulk background remover is free to use, with no watermarks and no credit card required. No signup is required.
3. Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Image background removal runs locally in your browser. Your images are not uploaded to our server for the background removal process. The results remain in browser memory during your session.
4. How many images can I process in one batch?
You can add up to 20 images per batch on desktop and up to 5 on mobile. Each image can be up to 40 MB. If you select more images than the batch limit allows, the tool adds images up to the limit and notifies you.
5. Which image formats are supported?
You can upload PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, and HEIC/HEIF images, including photos taken on an iPhone. Each successfully processed image is exported as a transparent PNG.
6. Can I download all the background-removed images at once?
Yes. Click Download on an individual completed image to save its PNG file, or choose Download All as ZIP to package all completed images into a single archive. Failed images are excluded until they are successfully processed. Duplicate filenames are automatically numbered in the ZIP.
7. Why does the first image take longer to process?
The browser may need to load and initialize the AI model before processing begins. Once the model is ready, subsequent images reuse the initialized engine. Processing speed also depends on your device and image dimensions.
8. What happens if I refresh the page?
The current batch and its results are held in memory, not saved as a persistent history. Refreshing the page or closing the tab clears the current results, so download the images you need before leaving.
9. Is there a limit on image size?
Yes. Each image can be up to 40 MB. Images with a longest side exceeding 4,096 pixels are automatically downscaled before processing to help manage browser memory usage.
